Hi! I'm Joanna.
I'm an actor, model, skincare specialist, makeup and modeling coach, and founder of
CMG Women of Beauty.
I've worked in the beauty industry for over 20 years for brands such as Giorgio Armani, Bobbi Brown, Smashbox, Urban Decay, Cargo Cosmetics, Rodial Skincare, Perricone MD, DERMAdoctor, VENeffect and many more.
As a professional modeling coach, I have extensive training in makeup application, nailcare, haircare, skincare, high fashion runway and print modeling. I've coached and helped many young girls and women achieve their dream of becoming a professional model. 
As a model and actor, I've booked over 30 national and regional print campaigns for clients such as, Yahoo, T Mobile, Discovery Channel, AARP, Effexor, Blockbuster and many more.
I've Co-starred and have over 40 recurring roles on Days of our Lives, General Hospital and The Bold & the Beautiful. I'm also grateful for having been cast in movies on the Lifetime Movie Network and in national commercials for brands such as, Walgreens, Ford, Bush's Baked Beans and Kmart.
 
I've had many wonderful relationships in the entertainment industry and in life. But one thing I've learned is that relationships can sometimes be extremely difficult especially female relationships. My mother has often said, "I could write a book about jealous women in my life".

Like my mother, I've also battled with what I like to call "superficial" jealousy. You know...that jealousy from another female that comes out of nowhere!  The woman who knows nothing about you. She doesn't know your heart, social or political views. She doesn't even know your name yet and she's already jealous of you.
So what other reason, other than how you look or self-confidence you exude, does she have to be jealous?

The ugly green monster doesn't just rear its head in situations with strangers, co-workers, neighbors or even church members. Females closest to you can become jealous too. It's like a sixth sense you sometimes feel brewing in the relationship. 
These situations can be confusing, disappointing and downright heartbreaking.

Jealousy is sometimes labeled as a "petty" emotion, on the contrary, it can be emotionally devastating. It can also lead to verbal abuse or physical violence. It has been difficult for me to make the decision to end some relationships or to distance myself from women in my life. But for my mental health and safety, it's been very necessary.
And yes, I'm aware that jealousy can be due to a much deeper issue. I sympathize with those women.

Think for a moment...have you lost a female relationship or had to distance yourself from someone because of superficial jealousy? 

My goal is to help eradicate superficial jealousy among women by teaching the importance of beauty self-care and self-improvement. I believe if all women were confident in their level of beauty and fashion knowledge, there would be no need to be jealous of another woman.

So, I was compelled to do something life changing...hence the creation of  
CMG Women of Beauty. I've "lowered the playing field" (so to speak). Some women didn't have the privilege of having someone to teach them the girlie stuff.

Our beauty services provide accessibility to high-end, industry standard: beauty, fashion, beauty self-care and modeling knowledge. I've created a fun environment where women can be themselves, learn, ask questions (even the embarrassing ones) and not feel judged.

We're here to help all women improve their outward appearance to boost their self-confidence level (even if you don't battle with jealousy). No matter your age, size, race, gender or skill level...we're her for YOU!
